The MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Project is an opportunity for businesses and master-level students from the University of Sussex to collaborate for mutual benefit. Companies may suggest a topic of interest that will be refined together with a faculty member from the University of Sussex Business School.

Each business will be assigned one or more students to work on this ‘company challenge’, with the Business School’s supervisory team matching the two parties based on their skills, interests and abilities. Your level of involvement in the project is negotiable, and might range from several scheduled meetings over a 3-4 month period, to more intensive involvement. The research scope could involve observing or participating in the business itself, or conducting external market research. A final project report will be made available to you.

Core topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

1. New market development
2. Innovation
3. Business growth
4. Internationalisation
5. Entrepreneurial finance
6. Business support
7. Business model innovation
8. Digitalisation
9. External challenges

If you’re interested in participating in this year’s research projects, contact Entrepreneurship and Innovation teaching staff during March to discuss and refine the question you would like to give to students. Students will be briefed and submit proposals for their projects throughout April and May, with final reports submitted in September 2019.
