ISMS.online, leading information security management software solution, has received £2m of investment from Sussex investment firm Cow Corner.

ISMS.online was also selected as a top UK Cyber Scaleup earlier this year by Tech Nation. It was invented by entrepreneur Mark Darby after his firm’s experience in achieving ISO 27001, the internationally recognised information security standard. Darby runs Alliantist, the company behind ISMS.online, already one of the largest and most successful businesses incubated from within the Sussex Innovation Centre because of its pam secure government software service.

Its ‘born in the cloud’ ISMS.online SaaS provides organisations with an ‘out of the box’ management system for information security. It significantly accelerates their capacity to attain and retain ISO 27001 along with regulation compliance for GDPR and much more.

ISMS.online is already used by small, medium and large businesses in the US, Canada, New Zealand Australia and mainland Europe as well as the UK. These include organisations such as Ottawa Airports Authority, Dubber from Australia, NHS Professionals and Laura Ashley. It also includes standout Sussex businesses such as FDM Group and Brightwell Dispensers.

The £2m investment will enable ISMS.online to invest significantly in sales, marketing and continue spending on product development, which in turn will enable it to meet the massive growing demand within the global market. It will also facilitate investment in delivery infrastructure and expansion to new offices in central Brighton.

ISMS.online is Cow Corner’s third major investment in knowledge-based businesses in Sussex, after its previous investments in Galloways and Pembroke Financial Services. Cow Corner was founded by Matthew Rourke who until 2018 was Managing Partner of HgCapital one of the world’s leading private equity investment firms and a specialist in software and knowledge-based service businesses. Matthew established Cow Corner to bring the same investment focus to fast growing businesses in Sussex.

“I am very excited to be ‘joining the herd’ and partnering with Cow Corner to continue our international growth from Sussex,” said Mark Darby, Founder and Chief Executive of Alliantist. “There is huge potential for us to develop this business together and turn it into a global champion in the information and cyber security arena. This investment will help us get there even quicker.”

“ISMS.online is a fabulous product that meets a real need in the market,” said Matthew Rourke, Founder and Managing Partner of Cow Corner. “Mark and his team have done a cracking job developing the business to this stage and we are very excited to be working with them.”

Alliantist is an organisation which is driven by providing you with the tools you need to realise your power and potential.
