National Numeracy Day takes place in May every year, this year it lands on the 17th of May.  A national campaign to encourage adults and children to build their confidence and skills with Numeracy. National Numeracy Day is brought to you by the charity National Numeracy, the campaign’s Founding Supporter since 2018 KPMG, and a group of pioneering organisations who are dedicated to improving the nation’s numeracy confidence and skills.

The day will involve stars such as Rachel Riley, Katya Jones and Bobby Seagull, and £6,000 worth of prizes up for grabs in the Number Heroes competition for kids. People will also have the opportunity to join the UK’s first ever livestreamed Number Fun quiz with celebrities, as well as the Big Number Natter, the UK’s only nationwide conversation about numbers.

Sam Sims, Chief Executive of National Numeracy said: “National Numeracy Day 2023 is set to be the biggest, most inspiring campaign we have ever held. With support from our incredible partners, we are looking forward to building on the breakthrough success of last year’s campaign, helping even more people across the UK to get on with numbers so they can get on in life. With activities and resources for both children and adults, there’s something to inspire everyone to start the journey towards improving crucial number confidence and skills”

The day is set to be filled with lots of fun activities for adults and children.
