DISCUS, the Data Intensive Science Centre at the University of Sussex, addresses real social and economic problems through a multidisciplinary team of big data experts.
University researchers from backgrounds including particle physics, astronomy and applied mathematics take on research challenges from public and private sector organisations, helping them to make sense of their largest and most complex data sets. They offer creative problem solving and the opportunity to unlock the hidden value of organisational data.
DISCUS is part of the DISCnet programme, a collaboration between UK universities with expertise in data intensive science.
