Scale Up Brighton & Hove is a management programme for the city’s most ambitious businesses – purpose-built for growth and 100% funded by the Brighton & Hove City Council.
Learn alongside 30 Brighton based scale ups, who are experiencing similar growing pains and share your ambition to scale and make an impact. Our course leaders include exited founders and MDs from a wide range of industries including hospitality, tech, manufacturing, food and beverage and the charity sector.

- Connections and peer advice: join 30 ambitious Brighton businesses, as well as mentors who have run and exited successful business.
- Financial planning: find the capital to grow and prep your finances for expansion, with forecasting, cash flow, financial controls, ratios, and finance tech systems that will save you time.
- The right team: get support recruiting and managing the right team to take you to the next stage of growth, including insights into culture, training and retention.
The programme is open to businesses with 10+ employees that are targeting 20% year on year growth.
The Scale Up Brighton & Hove programme will help you unlock the resources, finance, and know-how to push to the next level of growth, with a series of short action-planning workshops held across 8 weeks.
Each session combines:
- Expert insights to deepen your understanding of critical topics.
- Q&A with successful scale-ups who have “been there and done that.”
- Action learning sets where you’ll discuss your challenges and collaborate on solutions.
- Networking opportunities to connect with peers and partners who can support your growth.
