Virtual Doctors

Virtual Doctors (Registered Charity No: 1129924) is a UK-based charity that connects rural health workers in Zambia with doctors and medical specialists in the UK. Through a sophisticated yet easy-to-use telemedicine platform, they provide diagnosis and treatment advice, helping to save lives in remote communities.

With three clear aims, Virtual Doctors works to:

  1. Reduce unnecessary mortality and morbidity by enabling rural health workers to treat more patients on-site.
  2. Minimise unnecessary referrals to distant and hard-to-reach hospitals.
  3. Enhance the skills and knowledge of rural health workers through specialist support.

By leveraging state-of-the-art technology, Virtual Doctors empowers frontline healthcare providers with expert medical guidance, improving patient outcomes where access to doctors is limited. The charity relies entirely on donations to continue its life-saving work, ensuring that more people in rural Zambia receive the care they need.
