Adaptive music software studio Filmstro have announced the release of a new plugin for Apple’s Final Cut Pro X. The tool allows users to dynamically edit music inside their native environment, so they can easily customise and edit soundtracks using Filmstro in real time.

Filmstro’s mission is to revolutionise the way royalty free music is distributed, and their software makes it easy for anyone to edit music to their video using the building blocks of music; Momentum, Depth and Power. This integration signals another significant step forward for the start-up, following partnerships with the BBC, Adobe, Vimeo and Unity in recent years.

Anyone can now use Filmstro for Final Cut Pro X on a month-to-month basis and by subscription for ongoing projects, with prices starting at $9.99 per month.

“Our Filmstro Music Plugin for Final Cut Pro X represents a major next step for our customers and further underlines our product’s compatibility with major tech platforms,” said Seb Jaeger, CEO of Filmstro.

Filmstro’s software can be downloaded for free and includes access to five free demo tracks. Customers can access a wide range of professionally composed music from within the app, organised by mood, genre or instrumental palette in over 60 albums.
