Throughout the year we’ll be holding quarterly lunchtime socials to take a step back from the daily routine, bring our member community together and spend some time getting to know each other.
For our Spring social, we’re marking National Stress Awareness Month by hosting a Wellbeing Day, focused on the feel-good!
There will be activities to get involved with throughout the day but the main event will be the lunch and learn (1-2pm) in collaboration with our members Wellbeing Solutions. We’ll be kicking things off with a yummy lunch provided by ChefShalomaG who specialises in plant based menus (take a look at her Instagram here) followed by a talk from Wellbeing Solutions. The talk will explore:
– Mental health awareness and advocacy in the workplace
– The role of the employer in workplace wellbeing
– Managing workplace stress
Wellbeing Solutions are Mental Health specialists who provide Employee Assistant Programmes, training and consultancy to organisations. They work with 100s of employers across the UK, from all regions and sectors including financial services, manufacturing and local authorities.
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992 to raise awareness of the causes and cures for stress. It is an opportunity for open conversations about stress and mental health amongst friends, family and colleagues.
