All LSBU Group Staff are welcomed to the LSBU Menopause Monthly Café!
The aim is to create a space where colleagues can come together – sometimes virtually, sometimes physically – once a month to share their personal experiences, exchange useful information, tips & signposting or simply listen & learn more about the menopause. We hope to normalise conversations around the menopause to create a happier, more understanding & aware workplace for all.
Throughout the previous year, we have seen training sessions for staff and line managers, menopause cafes events, adopting menopause policies and flexible working to offer more support to our staff.
Becoming a menopause friendly workplace
We’ve teamed up with Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace to ensure that LSBU is a menopause friendly workplace we aim to become officially accredited as such in the near future!
In the meantime, here’s what you can expect to see in the coming year…
This is something we can all be part of
Everyone is welcome to come along to the Café or to get involved in any of the above: whether you, or a loved one is going, through the menopause and need a bit of support; if you’re peri-menopausal & want to know more; if you’re post-menopausal & want to share your experiences; or if you simply want to be able to better support a colleague who is experiencing the menopause.
We’ll be asking what topics you’d like to hear covered when you register. If you have any ideas for activities or events, please get in touch with Daniela Pantica or Antony Shaw by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll happy to have a chat!
Café schedule (usually, held on the second Monday of every month from 12pm – 1pm but subject to change depending on bank holiday dates and weather conditions when these are being held in person)
You can sign up to any of the dates using this Eventbrite link at any time and you’ll receive an Outlook invitation & Teams link in the run up to each session. We hope to see you soon!
Please note: These sessions are for LSBU Group Staff only.
