Investment Bootcamp: What Investors Look For

12 April, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Get your business investor ready through this facilitated workshop series brought to you by Sussex Innovation.

The Investment Bootcamp is a 6 week programme of facilitated workshops and coaching sessions, designed to help start-up founders prepare for their first raise. Alongside hearing from our expert advisors you’ll get a chance to speak to active investors and fellow founders who have already experienced the journey to investment. At the end of the programme, up to 6 founders will get a chance to deliver their pitch to investors at a “Dragon’s Den”-style event which will be held in June.

Through this programme you will learn:

  • How to build a business plan to attract investment
  • How to tell your company story
  • How to design and present a killer pitch
  • How to produce a teaser video to use in your pitch
  • What investors are really looking for

This week, Sussex Innovation’s Head of Ventures, Neema Amin will be talking to active investors, including Cow Corner‘s Russell Jones, about what they look for in businesses. Gain valuable insights into what attracts investors and have an opportunity to ask key questions to help you on your investment journey.

Programme schedule:

1st March: Business Planning

15th March: Pitching Your Story

22nd March: Founder Stories

29th March: Designing Your Pitch Deck

5th April: Developing a Video Teaser

12th April: What Investors Look For
