Apprenticeships
Businesses with a requirement for advanced manufacturing, data science or AI skills can address skills gaps by partnering with the University on a customised degree apprenticeship programme. Degree courses are fully or part-funded by Government, enabling your talent to access a research-intensive environment, professional expertise and facilities.
Placements
“Try before you buy” by having a placement student work for your organisation for a full year in between their second and third year of study. Placements are a great way to identify and review a potential future graduate recruit, with direct support from the University and a designated placement tutor to monitor their performance and offer mentorship.
Internships
Businesses can receive part or full funding to recruit an undergraduate into a 6-week internship over the summer holidays. Applications for the Career Lab Summer Internships programme open in early December and close in mid-February, with internships taking place in June and July.
Consultancy
Student consultancy offers organisations a free resource to tackle long-term projects via a group of post-graduates from the University of Sussex Business School. They can dedicate time to researching and offering recommendations on a specific business challenge, such as entering a new market, delivering against sustainability targets or implementing a new technology platform.
